Event Planning, Marketing, and Production Internship (Hermosa Beach, CA)
THE JNB MARKETING & EVENTS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:
We are looking for enthusiastic interns that are confident, can take direction, and can both work independently and with the team to get things done. The JNB Internship Program includes work on and will result in the intern gaining knowledge in the fields of:
• Event planning and production
• Event marketing/PR
• Internal business operations
• New client outreach in the industry (presentations/pitches)

This is a great experience for someone wanting to get into event marketing, event planning and event production. The internship will also include a day of introduction to the industry and the company, as well as an exit interview with a complete evaluation at the close of the internship. Interns work alongside the owner/principal event producer as well as with designated account managers, and work will be performed out of the company's office in Hermosa Beach.

OFFICE HOURS AND PROGRAM LENGTH:
We are currently looking for an intern to work 2-3 days/week, preferably Mon/Wed/Fri or Mon/Wed, probably 10am-5pm but hours can be flexible if needed. Duration of the internship is flexible but 3-4 months is preferred (January through April or May).


EVENT WORK:
As available, interns will be asked to participate onsite at events produced by the company in the Los Angeles / Orange County area. There is also the possibility of travel to work on events in other states, but is not required.

REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent internet search/online skills
Mac systems knowledgeable
Confident, pleasant and confident phone manner
Ability to work on several projects at once in a fast-paced environment
Responsibility to be on time, professional, respectful, but still have a sense of humor
Experience with social media (facebook, twitter, etc.), and graphic programs (photoshop, Gimp), preferred but not required

DUTIES / WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
Office organization and maintenance
Phone manner and press outreach / press releases
Manage internal business affairs (vendor accounts, travel arrangements, scheduling / arranging meetings, etc.)
Organizing weekly staff meetings
Internet research for products / obtaining quotes / working with vendors
Assembling, and at times creating presentations for client outreach (including sponsorship proposals and newsletters)
Assisting the President in various tasks related to project bids, sponsorship research, event production, etc.
Working onsite at events and promotions as needed (as available with schedule)

COMPENSATION:
Unpaid, but class credit may be given and is encouraged
